「ごめんなさい」の使いどころ

言わなきゃいけないときに「ごめんなさい」を言わない。
言わなくていいときに「ごめんなさい」を言う。

私の場合、前者は「そういう人なのね」と割り切れば気にならなくなっていくけれど、後者の方がむしろ問題が多かったりする。なんでもかんでも謝れば済むという問題じゃない。立場をわきまえずにとりあえず謝っとけ、というのが伝わればいい気持ちはしないし、わざわざ謝る原因を（見せなくていいのに）作って謝るというのも、なんだか妙である。自分の日記の更新が滞って「ごめんなさい」という人がいるけれど、誰に言ってるんだろう？と思うことがある。

「立場」と「状況」と「相手」を考えないと言えない。
使うのがとても難しい言葉だなあと思う。
